So I found that the CP pin 11 on U27B was misbehaving and therefore the output reset signal to the BSMT2000 was pulsing. I think the led fits just like the one that comes out of it. The lcd sits back because it is larger then the back panel.

Well, I found the problem.
Right here. Where I thought I had gapped a switch on the P relay correctly.
