But when it didn't work you didn't have voltage on the coil. You may have a couple of issues. I would look for the bad connection on the purple wire first.

Is there a way to restart a game after the first ball is played, like on B/W games where you just hold down start? Also, I think someone mentioned you could use Chaos in QC to help complete a mode, but not sure how since it automatically starts after completing the 6th mode.
