Robl45 on "Problem after replacing PIA and adding NVram"

Wednesday 27 December 2017 at 13:53

Quoted from PinballManiac40:My post #29 still has some unresolved battery corrosion that needs to be dealt with on the SRC parts that you can see pretty easily in the picture that I zoomed in on. Also in barakandl's post #16 shows a possible damaged trace that needs to be retested from the pin of th...

chippe01 on "Everything Nintendo Switch Club"

I bought a lot of the old NES games when I got my Wii. I believe they were between $4 and $7 each. When I got the WiiU I repurchased them, but they were only $1.00 each since I had already bought them, and when I got my 3DS they were also only $1.00 each. I wonder what they will cost if there ever...

Quoted from ibjeepin:OK based on the fact the display PIA was replaced and now you hgave a garbled display I would also agree with everyone here its most likely one or more broken traces. Whay did you replace the PIA in the first place? What was the issue? Garbled Screen? Honestly, nothing was wrong...

StratDoc on "Xenon - Solenoid Driver"

I am reassembling the playfield - this is going to be a nice pin. I cannot for the life of me remember where this part goes. I took lots of pictures but evidently not good enough. Are the red plastic tubes for the lamps still available on the aftermarket? Thanks IMG_2839 (resized).JPG

GanDuumar on "Restoring Taxi pinball questions"

Wednesday 27 December 2017 at 13:44

Quoted from GRUMPY:These are for the GI lamps in the game and have over heated in the past and have not been repaired correctly. The power should go thru the board and the fuse on the board but when the connector melted someone just bypassed it. You will need to remove the interconnect board and rep...

WJxxxx on "Metallica owner's thread"

Quoted from JB-7X:Try reseating all connections on the GI driver board. It’s the same board that data cable connects to dead center under the playfield. I had a 3pin connector go bad in mine that caused a crazy strobe. I had the same problem with my GI, strobing, completely off, weird colours. I t...
