There is a nice project, but, just a project:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wiki.ubuntu.com\/SyncIntegration\">https:\/\/wiki.ubuntu.com\/SyncIntegration\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Here is a full graphical guide, without command line.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold\">Connection:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bluetooth<\/li>\n<li>InfraRed IR<\/li>\n<li>USB<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Depending on your hardware, you will have to ehance a bit this tuto, since I will only use the bluetooth.<\/p>\n<p>As previouly explained, <a title=\"http:\/\/www.dotmana.com\/index.php\/?p=265\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.dotmana.com\/index.php\/?p=265\">I had to copy the firmware for my pcmcia card<\/a>: and the nice BT icon appears:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"image341\" alt=\"bticon.png\" src=\"http:\/\/www.dotmana.com\/weblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/bticon.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold\">Opensync:<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-weight: normal\">Opensycn is a framework to synchronise differents devices, still alpha but works great in my case.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Now, you will have to find the matching plugin for your device:<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.opensync.org\/wiki\/DeviceCompatibilityList\">http:\/\/www.opensync.org\/wiki\/DeviceCompatibilityList<\/a><\/p>\n<p>And install the proper package, there is no Gusty 7.10 version for opensync but the packages for the previous one 7.04 feisty works fine.<\/p>\n<p>You can download packages(.deb) on this page:<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/opensync.gforge.punktart.de\/repo\/opensync-0.21\/feisty\">http:\/\/opensync.gforge.punktart.de\/repo\/opensync-0.21\/feisty<\/a> (hope I will remember to change this part as soon there is a repo for the 7.10)<\/p>\n<p>Download and install the following packages:<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold\">The framework:<\/p>\n<p>libopensync0<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold\">The plugins:<\/p>\n<p>libopensync-plugin-google-calendar<\/p>\n<p>libopensync-plugin-file<\/p>\n<p>libopensync-plugin-evolution2<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold\">And the synchronisation tools:<\/p>\n<p>libopensync-plugin-gnokii (in my case: see on the DeviceConpatibilityList above)<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">A GUI:<\/span><\/p>\n<p>multisync-gui<\/p>\n<p>Then you can add a launcher on your pannel:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"launcher.png\" id=\"image343\" src=\"http:\/\/www.dotmana.com\/weblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/launcher.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Start it and add a group, named whaterver you want:<\/p>\n<p>Then add to this group a member, depending on your configuration, either the bluetooth address or the \/dev<\/p>\n<p>To get your bluetooth Mac, type <em>hcitool scan <\/em>in a terminal.<\/p>\n<p>Add another member, the module you want to sync: either Evolution or Google Calendar<\/p>\n<p>Click on synchronise, pass the Bluetooth key, and enjoy.<\/p>\n<p>Because I was using Thunderbird previously, I had to <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.goitexpert.com\/entry.cfm?entry=Import-Thunderbird-Email-into-Evolution-on-UBUNTU\">export my mail to Evolution<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>You can add google calendar in Evoltion, that&#8217;s nice easy and efficient.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I freshly installed the new Ubuntu 7.10, which include (was hardly awaiting for it) bluetooth and so on.
