{"id":365,"date":"2008-05-31T13:30:56","date_gmt":"2008-05-31T12:30:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.dotmana.com\/index.php\/?p=365"},"modified":"2008-05-31T13:30:56","modified_gmt":"2008-05-31T12:30:56","slug":"encrypted-reiserfs-filesystem-check-how-to","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.dotmana.com\/weblog\/2008\/05\/encrypted-reiserfs-filesystem-check-how-to\/","title":{"rendered":"Encrypted ReiserFS filesystem check How-To"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve a notebook with an encrypted flash memory (SD card) used as my home folder.<\/p>\n<p>I use lucks crypto with dm-crypt under Ubuntu.<\/p>\n<p>This works quite nicely, I mean just click on the card reader and a window ask you for your password.<\/p>\n<p>But as I never unmout it, even if reiserfs is meant to be uncorructible, I got a wird error on my\u00a0 Pigdim folder.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"error reiserfs\" id=\"image363\" src=\"http:\/\/www.dotmana.com\/weblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/screenshot.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This redfile comes from either the flash corruption or the reiserfs file system.<\/p>\n<p>So to correct this problem i did:<\/p>\n<p>Check in gparted ( System, Admini, Partition editor)<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"gparted\" id=\"image364\" src=\"http:\/\/www.dotmana.com\/weblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/screenshot-1.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Note the name of the partition and the mountpoint.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left: 40px\"><span style=\"font-style: italic\">sudo umout \/media\/Sdcrypt<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left: 40px\"><span style=\"font-style: italic\">sudo reiserfsck &#8211;check \/dev\/mapper\/luks_crypto_cc8b0c71-6096-4f5e-a4e5-4d18dcc27132 <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left: 40px\"><span style=\"font-style: italic\">sudo reiserfsck &#8211;check &#8211;rebuild-tree \/dev\/mapper\/luks_crypto_cc8b0c71-6096-4f5e-a4e5-4d18dcc27132<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left: 40px\"><span style=\"font-style: italic\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left: 40px\"><span style=\"font-style: italic\">sudo reiserfsck &#8211;check \/dev\/mapper\/luks_crypto_cc8b0c71-6096-4f5e-a4e5-4d18dcc27132 <\/span><\/p>\n<p>Then my trouble was gone. It rebuilt the file tree and remove the corrupted file.
