@SLCpunk here's what you should try......check all fuses and make sure there in there tight. Take off every connector one at a time and hit them with a clean tooth brush then put them back in the same way you took them off. If it still happens after all that we will dig in deeper.

Unless the glass is the very first generation glass with physical pins, and you are up to desoldering every pin, and then trying to get them back into the holes, then no. It's not possible.
New DMD glass connections are "taped" to the PCB. You'll never get them off and then on again.

The gray box is just an encased transformer. So, more than likely the source for 12vac. But the board requires 12v center tapped (12-0-12). So there should be all 3 wires used.

i think the power thats returning from the coil in pin8 1j19 is roughly 77volts same as pin 9 but when i attach the wire to pin 8 if i remeber correctly it kills the pin 1 base part of transistor Q77 causing it to lock on after it fails but i really have no idea i have changed the coil and diode ou...
