Check the diodes at each of those to ensure it is intact, is not pressed up against metal, or does not need to be replaced.

Solo was fun. The lead character is an active protagonist who has an effect on the plot (unlike Rogue One) the movie pays off a lot of things the universe has set up (unlike Last Jedi) and it's not a remake of an earlier film (like TFA). Have you taken the thing apart that kicks the ball into play and given a thorough cleaning and checked the coil sleeve for wear ?
