Its funny you guys are mentioning the knocker.
My mother who is in her mid 70's plays it allot, and every time it goes off she literally almost has a heart attack.. Hmmm now maybe thats one way of getting one person in the household off the game!

Just because they are not gummed up does not mean they are making good contact. Those contact points look really dirty. I would dis asemble one more time and clean all contact points and rivits and wiper blade contacts.
