If Homepin cracks the Chinese market - well, wow, that will be the start of a new phase of pinball.

wizardblom on "Are WMS and Gottlieb power supplies interchangeable?"

Sunday 27 May 2018 at 11:23

Voltage is a bit lower on Williams then on a Gottlieb (24 V) you can increase by using the high tap on a Williams transformer. Don't if it will be enough, but it will work.

wizardblom on "Bally Wizard only works on player one"

Sunday 27 May 2018 at 11:19

Does the coin unit step up to 2,3 and four players? If the ball in play doesn't increase, look at the ball index relay for a misadjusted or dirty contact. A way of testing is to tilt the ball in play, if it gets to the second ball it is surely the ball index. If the coin unit does not step up it is ...

An artificially designed social construct intended to keep it's population in a state of compliant subservience? Has to be one of the AA overlords.

RobKnapp on "Iron Maiden issues"

Sunday 27 May 2018 at 11:13

Quoted from vireland:JJP had serious issues getting internal mixes and limits under control with Hobbit (especially), but I don't recall Stern having that issue on their machines, but you're right, that's another explanation for the cracking. I guess we'll soon find out if I convert this to use the...

Hi Chris914 Yes, the Start-Up sequences are different in the pins --- BIG difference "Gottlieb" versus "Bally, Williams". But Your pin has a fault - when we toggle-on the main power switch: Nothing happens - the Lock-Relay does not pull-in --- a switch (encircled red) of type "Normally-Closed" there...

TimeBandit on "Total Lightshow. Development thread. Now intercepting and controlling inserts!"

Sunday 27 May 2018 at 11:07

On that new test video you'll notice that when all the patterns are playing together that the inserts all dim a little. In real life that appears as bad flicker (the individual patterns are butter). Which sucks pinballs. But fear not! I upgraded today to an Arduino Due, which is based on a 32 bit AR...

Quoted from Kolchak357:. I also like the Greek mythology theme idea that many have suggested. . Me too. The game already exists: Wrath of Olympus. But the Riot team does not manage to build it for now.

RobKnapp on "Iron Maiden issues"

Sunday 27 May 2018 at 11:06

Quoted from SDTMinSTL:Can't help on the first one, but I can on the third. Stern's ball trough rollover switches can sometimes not register due to a sticky or stiff switch. Generally, a simple adjustment to the rollover leaf will allow the pressure of the ball to make more constant contact. This c...

Meatneck on "Weak left flipper - out of ideas"

Sunday 27 May 2018 at 10:54

I nhave had EM flipper pawls that weren't crimped together correctly allowing slop. these were purchased new, and seemed to be a manufacturing defect. a spot weld shored it right up.
